We are Ortona, the London Ontario area Unit of the Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Units (The C.A.V.).

The C.A.V. is a Veterans organization made up of Veteran and currently serving members of the Armed Forces, and civilian Supporters. Our motto is "Strength and Honour" - the Strength to tackle all tests, the Honour to do it in the best possible way.

We are an Organization, not a Club or Gang. We have Units named after Canadian Battle Honours, not Chapters. We wear a single Crest on our back, not a Patch or Colours. As an Organization, we have no interest in politics or partisan issues. We gather for fun and service to our communities, combining this with our love of motorcycling.

Trooper Mark Wilson 7th Annual Ride
Mission Completed......Finally, lets take a breath. I would like to thank
everyone for an awesome, awesome job! Since the start of September 2015
till the day of the Trooper Mark Willson ride on May 14 2016, the effort
put forth was unbelievable....even the weather could not hold us down.
To all riders, club members, non club members, husband, wives,  military
and non military families. I don't want to leave anyone out, as each and
every one of you played a significant roll in making this day a huge
success. From the volunteers behind the scene, the sponsors that donated
prizes, all the organizations that allowed us to use there facilities, the
people  that bought tickets for the 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide, to
all the individuals and riders that traveled near and far to attend the
ride. Because if it was not for all of you we wouldn't have been able to
raise over $48,000.00 thus allowing us t

Ortona Unit began in 2005, and from the original 5 members has grown to number more than 60. Following the C.A.V. mandate to "Ride and have fun while helping others", in 2010 we participated in more than 30 memorial, community and charitable events. We also do Unit rides that are just for fun, enjoying the changing Fall colours or a good lunch. During the off season we continue to meet, planning the next years activities and participating in events such as the London Motorcycle Expo.
